"Communication Strategies for Reaching Bilingual Hispanic-Americans"
This presentation will focus on the differing options media may choose to identify with and reach out to the growing bilingual Hispanic-American population in the United States. Topics to be discussed include the validation and recognition of the dual identities shared by Hispanic-Americans as well as the dynamic challenges faced by advertisers to communicate effectively with this group. In particular, this study will examine these issues in terms of younger bilingual Mexican-Americans between the ages of 18-29. Further, it seeks to offer practical guidance for those wishing to improve their communication strategies among individuals who identify with this demographic.
